  • The atmosphere is very authentic and the staff are friendly. The food is exactly what you expect from an American diner, I’ve had better though. You definetly need to have time on your side if you stop here bcos it took over one hour between ordering and receiving the food. Good value for money. Restaurant was very busy we shared a table with some strangers

  • Our family was traveling Route 66 back home, and my family wanted to take me to a place they had stopped to eat at on the way out to California. They loved it on the way out there where I met them. Well on the way back it was a different story. We ordered a immediately after sitting down before any other items were placed except our drinks. As the wonderful waitress came back with our drinks and we placed our other food orders. The food is great, again the waitress was very accommodating with 2 children who needed a few things. Everyone was done eating and our pizza still hadn't come. At this point, we had been there over an hour eating and taking . It's a 50's vibe place so they had old cars, Route 66 things, and a huge Harley picture moment across the street. It's everything your looking for when making stops to get stamps for the kids Route 66 stamps/stickers. Anyway at that point we canceled our pizza as we were ready to get back on the road. What we didn't know when we canceled was that it was the waitress's 1st day. As my daughter went in to use the bathroom she saw the waitress getting chewed out by the manager/owner because we canceled the pizza. I feel that maybe he could have given her some slack but also not done it in front of all the customers. For that I've taken off a star as it could have been handled differently epically on her 1st day. (She was crying) . Also note that you will have gas after leaving because most of the food is fried.

  • We really enjoyed the food! We had a salad, big breakfast, cheeseburger, steak, and a red velvet shake — all of them were tasty. The place was a bit small and busy, but the staff was super friendly. Definitely worth the price!

  • We stopped at Mr. D’z Diner heading back from the Grand Canyon to Vegas, and it was exactly what we needed. Delicious, real food—the Monster Burger alone could feed two people easily, and the red velvet shake (complete with frosting-coated rim and a slice of cake on top) looked straight off Instagram. The diner itself is charmingly retro with plenty of photo ops outside. Fair warning: the AC isn’t the strongest (it’s the desert, after all), and bathrooms are small, so plan accordingly. Wish we had more time to explore the little souvenir shop next door. Definitely recommend if you’re passing through and want a memorable meal with a story to tell later!

  • Mr.D'z Diner is a must stop in Kingman, AZ. Its retro atmosphere is reminiscent of the good old days. It was very busy but we were seated immediately. A tour bus arrived just after us but they were seated in the enclosed patio away from the main dining room. The food was great and the menu extensive. The service was fantastic!

  • I know it’s a bit of a tourist trap but ya gotta eat so why not get into the Route 66 experience. We went after reading about their famous homemade Root Beer Floats. It was good but their food was even better. I got the Green Chili Cheese Burger which was huge. The meat didn’t taste like ground beef, it tasted like a good cut of meat. My wife had the Turkey Bacon and avocado sandwich on a Croissant. She loved it. The place screams of the 50s so you can get some fun photos. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area. Oh, and a shout out to Santana our waitress who was friendly, engaging and had the diner running smooth.

  • We are a couple from Germany and Belgium, going total tourists from Las Vegas to Grand Canyon Village. Luckily we weren't hungry when we left Vegas, so we "had" to stop on the way. We found this place by chance, and what a find. This is truly amazing: simple people, simple food, retro style and really, really nice lady serving. Stop, give your money to this kind of local places and forget the crap of Starbucks and multi billion corporations, you will eat better, you'll have a sincere smile in front of you and you will pay much less than what you get for it. Enjoy it.
